These include the most well-known Red-tailed black shark, the Rainbow or Ruby shark, the Black shark from Asia and the less commonly seen African sharks like the Harlequin. Knowing which one you have or intend to have is important, as mistakes will mean fights. Roughly speaking, they can be split into two main types: territorial bottom dwelling and midwater shoaling species. This group includes the barbs, rasboras, loaches and even goldfish - and our "sharks" naturally inhabit rivers in Asia and Africa.
